SCM Head Operations

Description

Design, formulate and implement the overall Fiber services Strategy by continuously improving and deploying best practices, undertaking rigorous planning, direct and indirect sourcing, vendor management, inventory optimization, distribution management in order to achieve the strategy and objectives for the Business

What The Role Entails

(Key Responsibilities)

Partner Management / Category Management

Responsible for forming alliances with various Partners (Services , Equipment providers, Labor etc) and Product solution organization to create healthy future partner ecosystem system to deliver system integration related projects in the domain of Telecom Optical fiber network build

Drive the business acquisition cycle across - pre-RFP stage, plan RFP T&Cs, align RFP to STL’s eligibility, ensure partner is also eligible if a partner is needed, price negotiation, contract management,

Process & Business Expansion

Developing Geographical deliver model of optical fibre rollout projects of 70000 kms+. Driving Significant cost drop of 35% in next 2 years to help organization acquiring business from Major Telecom player on Pan India basis

Materials management and logistics planning. Distribution planning and control of Networks and Sales material across the states

Working on setting up Global Supply delivery model Fiber deployment for Company to Start serving Europe region.

Managing Extra responsibility of handing Large project to learn P/L challenges.

Governance and Risk Management

Set up Partner performance matrix and run regular governance with Partners to achieve business objective

Define risk management processes and work with business to identify key risks on sourcing/ procurement side. Build contingency plans to mitigate risks

Lead team in gathering market and competitor intelligence to draw inferences for STL; Drive team to conduct robust supply chain analytics, draw inferences and implement learnings in existing ecosystem

Handle resource planning and budgetary approvals for sourcing/ procurement activities

Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, Larger scale fiber roll out on Pan India basis. Must have knowledge of Capital assets required to increase the speed of fiber deployment along with controlling the overall cost

Experience

& Education

BE (MBA is added advantage)

18+ years of experience in SCM from Technology environment, Data Networking, Telecom industries
